Powerplant Radio team
We as Powerplant Radio Team are very motivated in the Radio and Rock / Metal scene, and this manifests itself in a 24/7 very successful Radio station: Powerplant Radio Organisation, including the associated Radio channels in Canada and Germany.
Of course we would like to introduce ourselves here, Who are we, what did we do before our Powerplant adventure and what do we do as Powerplant Radio Team, which work we do in the team.
The Powerplant Radio team consists of 3 people, Wendy, Ellen and Ronald.

The Radio Team
 | WENDY DE JONGE Wendy was born and raised in 1986 in Hoorn (NH) in the Netherlands and studied at the Copernicus SG in Hoorn, and then studied Management and Business Administration at the HVA (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) after this education. After her studies, before leaving for Canada, Wendy worked for some time as a Manager at a large hotel group in the Amsterdam area. Wendy has always been a big radio enthusiast and also worked for some time as a presenter at a local station in her hometown and came into contact with Ronald through his program Ronald Draait Door, later renamed Powerplant! via a NL Local station for which she even founded a fan club. Wendy moved from Hoorn to Montreal in Canada in 2019, where she has now built her life and is working full-time on Powerplant Radio, which Wendy has owned since the beginning of 2020. When Wendy came to live in Canada, she got a tip from someone in the radio world that a very poorly performing radio station was for sale, a station that was almost bankrupt at the time, due to a lack of listener interest and wrong policy. She took over this station and approached Ronald, who currently operates from the Netherlands, to make this station a great success with her. Ronald accepted this and together they started this musical Rock & Metal adventure: POWERPLANT RADIO ORGANISATION - Canada was born. Partly because Powerplant Radio also gained a foothold in Europe and wanted to serve the Rock & Metal scene there with promotion, 4 radio stations were also started in Germany in 2021, Powerplant Radio Europe, Powerplant Classic Rock Radio, RDD Radio Europe and RDD DanceClub Radio, all 24/7 nonstop stations, located in Germany. Given Wendy's enormous dedication and the good knowledge of making a company successful, Powerplant Radio has now become a very successful worldwide player in the Rock & Metal Radio world. Wendy's current task within the team is business and promotional functions, managing relationships such as Record labels, record companies and Bands/Artists in the Rock/Metal Scene.  | ELLEN DE JONGE Ellen was born and raised in Hoorn (NH) in the Netherlands in 1983 and studied at the Copernicus SG in Hoorn, and then studied Financial Administration and Business Administration at the HVA (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) after this study. After her studies, before leaving for Canada, Ellen worked for some time in fraud detection at the FIOD, later at a large Dutch banking institution, also responsible for detecting and combating fraud cases. Ellen also provided business administration for various companies at a large accounting firm in Amsterdam for some time. Ellen moved to Canada in mid-2023 and currently lives with her sister Wendy in Montreal in Canada, where Ellen has also found her place and built her life. Ellen is also working full-time on Powerplant Radio, of which Ellen is also the 2nd owner since mid-2024. Given her good financial knowledge, Ellen also has everything on board to make a company successful and financially healthy and to absorb financial and economic difficulties, Powerplant Radio is now a financially healthy radio station. Ellen's current task within the team is Business Financial Administration, Business and Financial Relationship Management. |
 | RONALD TUENTER Ronald was born and raised in Doetinchem (Gld) in the Netherlands in 1960 and studied at the Yuvertus MBO in Velp, Green and Landscape Management. After his studies, Ronald worked for a while at a tree nursery / Landscaping Company and later worked as a driver at a large Dutch postal state company. Ronald also followed an ICT / Web design course from which Powerplant Radio is now reaping the benefits. Ronald was a Team Coach / Team Leader at a TNT branch for several years, where he later moved on to DHL. Ronald currently works at a large European Plastics processing company. Ronald lives as onlyPowerplant teammember in the Netherlands Ronald had a night broadcast on a pirate station in the 80s and got to know the unfortunately much too early deceased Radio DJ Alfred Lagarde. Alfred taught Ronald the tricks of the (Rock)DJ trade, which Ronald still benefits from today. Ronald could also be found every weekend as a DJ in De Woage, a discotheque in Halle, the Netherlands and as a DJ of a Drive-In Show. The DJ life was really in Ronald's blood. Given his good ICT knowledge, Ronald has everything on board to keep the radio streams running in good health and to resolve any malfunctions in a professional manner. New songs and playlists are also created and filled in a professional manner. Ronald is also mainly responsible for the German Powerplant Radio streams and playlists Ronald's current role within the team is ICT, Server Manager, Music & Band/Artist Promotions, Radio DJ and Program Manager. Ronald is also responsible for the Powerplant Live Radio Show and Powerplant on Powerplant Radio organisation and the RDD Rocknight on RDD Radio Europe |
